What I show here will always look exactly as it is. I will never make the photo's better than the made item is.

Gift bag
My plan of posting daily, again has not progressed beyond day one.
Sigh.
Wanted to say a big hello to a friend who came back home after spending a few months with her children overseas. Got a few niceties together, made a card and put it all inside this bag I made.
Black card for the base, white for the border the embellishments were made of the same paper. Except the doily, ribbon and button.

Travel gift
Now that I have pasted the whole month, I can just as well see if I can continue writing here showing the pictures of what I have made.
A little travel notebook, mini album for a friend who went to visit in England.

Purple journal
A bit on the thick side, it has 10 signatures.
I do not know if there is a name for the method of binding I did, but I'll tell you exactly what I did. I sew the signatures together, thereafter I wound string around the spine of the cover and slid the signatures in.
I really like how it all came together.
The decoration at the back: The circle is a pottery button with pink flowers and green leaves.
Purple chipboard tag, a teapot and an antelope charm, plus some beads dangling below.
This journal I made for myself, the negatives to share with you is:
1. The decoration at the back caused to book to never lie flat.
2. And it is just too thick.
In future I'll change that.
What is it you are looking out for when in search of a new journal?

Handboxes continue.
The previous post I tell how my "handboxes" came into being.
This time two more in one video.
And a photo of another "handbox" I made.

My handbox
As I said in the video clip, this handbox started off as something I wanted to use until the end of my journal/diary. The reaction where ever I went with it, gave me the indication to make and sell it won't be a bad idea.
At first I had my doubts, as it is completely made of paper. After this video I continued using the box for another 5 months.
In hind sight I should have taken another video and compared it to this one.
After my book was full or used up, I continued using this handbox to see how long it will last. During these months this was the only 'bag' I used. In my opinion it held up exceptionally well - much better than I thought it would.
The wear it showed had to do with it being soiled. It was still completely in tact.
TO BE CONTINUED.

Brag book - Mini album insert
We have all seen these mini album inserts, I have no idea where I saw it the first time or where I actually got this pattern from. Who ever thought this up did it very well! (anyone reading here and know who was the first to make these, leave me a note and I can give credit to the creator)
I made this to give as a thank you gift, for the receiver to carry grandchildren photographs in the handbag.
This was made from one 30cmx30cm (12"x2") page card stock and two double sided 12"x12" papers.
The card stock was cut and scored like this,
