What I show here will always look exactly as it is. I will never make the photo's better than the made item is.

Our water
At first glance one can think EEEW. It is not too pleasant to look at a bathtub with water and think you are going into it so you an get out clean. But and this is a big but, when you have been without any water in that tap for a time, to see water even of this colour one is extremely grateful.

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 4-7
Today is the last day of this challenge. I have posted something everyday! For 4 weeks. By Monday I started to feel this is getting a bit too much for me. But I am so happy I continued and finished what I set out to do.
1. To try my hand at mixed media
2. To take part in this challenge
3. To post something everyday.
I have been successful. Some days my tries should rather have been sent to the dustbin. But I added it here specifically to see if there is any change in my attempts and I want to go back and see how I can change what I thought was a fail attempt into something I will like.
As I heard someone said (DeeDee?);
if it is ugly it is not yet finished.
Seeing it is the last day I thought the suitcases fits so well. It is almost like the
end of ones holiday away.
Used a honeycomb stencil and gesso straight on my packaging card.
Stuck single layer of a paper towel down,
wet the water colouring pencils and coloured over the card.
Stamping with a sentiment stamp held in my hand, after the first two
I saw the words has to do with go and rest (not English stamp)
"Happy-accident" it fits in with our suitcase picture.
That gave me the sentiment, part of another sentence.
Made a little cluster and stapled it down.
What I used: Card
Gesso
Watercolour pencil
Punched flower
Die cut butterfly
Book page and card stock
Stamp
Permanent ink

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 4-6
With my choices I ended up having what I am showing today.
Started off layering all sorts of paper scraps, in a few different colours.
Instead of using gesso I used one layer of a facial tissue over it all. When I
tried to stick it down with gel medium it became a huge mess. Huge.
Here I had to leave it a while. Stepping away help with courage to just do.
Coming back I saw the lifted and torn away parts as texture.
Gesso, always to the rescue. After a layer of gesso all looks different.
Next I stapled -not trying gel medium again- a piece of white ricrac.
Back to the water colour pencils. The colours did not look right. Instead off
darkening it I chose to use different colours.
Stuck the flying bird down, giving a bit of a darker outline I got the paper too
wet. I do notlike the water marks on it.
My sentiment: as I tore pages I saw the heading on on of the pages, saw it fits
PERFECTLY here. The numbers that was on the same line I added also
because it just look like it fits.
What I used: Card, paper
Facial tissue
Ribbon
Staples
Gesso
Watercolouring pencils; yellow, two greens, two blues, black

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 4-5
Stuck masking tape, edges (no print) of old book paper down on my card.
Used gesso on a honeycomb stencil, then lightly put gesso over it all.
Using the watercolour pencils I coloured the pink and yellow. The darker
colour is showing through from the paper.
Added a few punched out flowers and coloured that with pencil too.
The writing was lifted from an old book.
A tag that came with something, what I do not remember. The alphabet sticker
is from the same, tied a piece of calico on and glued it all down.
What I used: Masking tape, paper, sellotape
gesso, stencil,
flower punch
Watercolour pencil; pink, yellow,red
calico, old embellishments.

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 4-4
Row four photo one
Started off with the row one photo, made the back ground by layering a few
very thin papers. In the left hand corner is a few scraps from an old Christmas
tag, on top of a part of a green paper doily and yellow lace ribbon stapled down
All covered with gesso.
This time I gave it a white wash using acrylic paint.
then came the black water colour pen, the blue marker to make a few dots.
Not liking the ribbon to look so washed out I coloured over it with my yellow
pencil and left it just like that.
My sentiment was part of a saying from a scrapbook paper, of which I used the rest somewhere else.
What I used: Card
Old papers, thin paper, doily, old tag, piece of ribbon
Gesso
Water colour pencil; black, yellow
Scrapbook paper

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 4-3
Started of with masking take, stickers, and old paper. Gesso over it all
then I took the yellow watercolour pencil and coloured over all of it with the
edges darker. Sprayed water over using my finger I moved the colour around.
Stamped. Was stuck right there for a while.
Using textured paste added a few dots, coloured it with the same stamp ink.
Tied the ribbon on stuck the 'foot' down and think it is enough.
Gesso

My inspiration today: Bottom row, fifth photo
It might need something, for now I do not know what therefore it stays as is.
Painted green, using a net packaging to make a pattern in the wet paint.
A 'nest' of embroidery floss with a metal butterfly for an embellishment.
Butterflies are always an easy way to finish something off,
this time it was not enough.
What I used: Green paint
Green embroidery thread
butterfly embellishment

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 3-7
My inspiration today: First row, forth photo
Wanted to do something with for a few days but kept being stuck at the
calico type colour of the material.
This time I sat down and looked and looked and looked at the photo
until I saw the crosses are pluses.
A thinish layer of gesso, the colour on the card is even coming through.
Thereafter I took the black water colour pen to it, and fiddles over it using a
brush.
Cut old book page edge in the shape of Christmas tree. Somewhat of a fail.
That is lost although I used the white gel pen to follow the outline.
Then I stamped and embossed the leaves
Cut the pluses by hand, edging it with my pencil.
Wrote the sentiment, and pressed the edges of the card stock in a
spilled left over puddle of black.
Thinking about a sentiment all the time I did the above, going from
crosses to plusses leaves and trees.
Then my thought; cross is often to say what is wrong, a plus is an adding onto
and that is what I was doing. (unintended pun)
:)
What I used: Gesso
Fabric paint; black
Old paper
Gel pen, white
Stamp
Embossing powder black
Card stock
Black pen
Water colour pencil; black

My inspiration today: Second row, third picture.
The peeling paint is what I saw today. Chipping, old
Stuck one ply of a tissue down - as it was falling.
Tried to paint over it with the same colours
Use the opposite as a sentiment.
What I used: Tissue
Liquid paint, red yellow
Acrylic paint, white
Permanent market, silver
Stapel
Card stock
Black pen

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 3-5
This time my inspiration worked backwards.
A piece of paper on my desk with left over paint and
stencil left overs looked like something i could use as a back ground.
When it was stuck I felt it is good enough to only add one-two embellishments.
That is where I looked at the inspiration board,
thought it fit best with the photo of the berries.
What I used: scrap paper with left overs on it
cotton
the same pink foil that was my base paper yesterday
circle punch
Water colour pencil black
Sentiment cam from a meat advertisement

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 3-4
My inspiration today: First row, second photo.
Today in this picture I 'saw' the circles and the darker holes.
Used pink foil paper to cover my card, gesso over it to take the glare off
but still have some shine.
Stuck a few things down to show towards circles then coloured it as
pink as I could.
Thought I succeeded in my attempt, therefore the sentiment.
What I used: Pink foil
Gesso
String, buttons, metal rings
Liquid paint, red
Card stock

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 3-3
Started of with a blue back ground wanting
to only add the yellow horse head. It did not look done.
Added gesso, blue ricrac the black colouring pencil.
Then I looked at the card and the inspiration board, back and forth.
Until the flower punch thought came - seems that is all I when stuck.
The sentiment, normally the last thought for me.
This time the idea came quick, horses run.
The white gel pen gave it the last touches - in my mind
What I used: Gesso,
White acrylic
Liquid paint; yellow blue
Horse head stencil
Water colour pencil;black
Ricrac blue
Staples
Card stock

One Year MOODAVERSARY week 3-2
I noticed the window part of the door in the photo.
My left over flower punch negative reminded me of the recessed areas
The brown paper is for the dark glass.
The stamp curls for the frame pattern.
The bar code on the card I emphasized for the or planks in the door
The paper flower... was lying on the desk and the colours fitted with the card :)
Sentiment, I had none.
What I used: Gesso
Stamp
Distress ink, brown
Scrapbook paper
Permanent marker
